Eucalyptus

Murray Bail is to me an exquisite story-teller. Eucalyptus won my heart and mine only, since it was totally disallowed by my book-club friends, except one (another teacher) and myself. It's a fairy tale in modern age and as such it does not have to be rooted in reality to catch my heart, therefore "thumb up" for Eucalyptus...but it's true that all those trees can be a bit tireing.

Murray Bail è per me un raccontastorie squisito. Eucalipto mi ha scaldato il cuore, e solo il mio, dato che le mie amiche del circolo di lettura l'hanno completamente bocciato, a parte una, insegnante come me. E´una fiaba moderna e come tale non deve avere radice nella realtá. Quindi, una stella per Eucalipto...anche se tutti quegli alberi sono un pochino stancanti.
