Who sleeps on my couch?

A good friend of mine has got very nice teenage kids who signed up (without discussing it with her, but that is another story) to www.couchsurfing.com. It is a non-profit internet organization that allows travellers on a tight budget to find homes around the world where they can loan the couch to sleep on, a shower and, if lucky, even get a meal or two. So the other day my friend found at her front door a smiling Oleg from Russia, with very bushy hair, a very bushy beard and a mega backpack. He has come to Stockholm for a university conference. My friend's beige couch is now used by this friendly russian historian. I think this couchsurfing thing is a great idea, would love to sign on myself. Only problem is that Mats and I are the ones sleeping on our couch...

Una mia amica è madre di due simpatici adolescenti i quali si sono iscritti (senza discutere la cosa con la madre, ma questa è un'altra storia) a www.couchsurfing.com. E´una organizzazione su internet, non a scopo di lucro, che aiuta chi viaggia con pochi soldi a trovare un divano, una doccia e magari un paio di pasti, in casa di qualcuno in giro per il mondo. Cosí l'altro giorno alla porta della mia amica si è presentato un sorridente Oleg, dalla Russia, con un cespuglio di capelli ed uno di barba ed un mega zaino. E´a Stoccolma per una conferenza all'universitá. Oleg, storico, dorme sul divano beige della mia amica. Couchsurfing è un'idea che mi va proprio a genio, mi iscriverei subito. L'unico problema è che sul nostro divano siamo io e Mats a dormirci...
