Den allvarsamma leken (The serious game) by Hjalmar Soderberg. It is always fascinating to read his "pictures" of Stockholm in the early 1900s. Soderberg does it well because he loved his city very fondly. Still the irritation rises to high peaks for his burgeois and stiff characters, especially the protagonist, the music croniqueur and journalist Arvid. Fjodor Dostoyevsky is as deep as ever and still excellent at making fun of his folks in Spelaren (The player). A bit boring reading for me, the latter, since I know nothing of gambling. I can write in english and italian only since I am using my sister's computer and have no way of figuring out how to type some of the swedish vowels.
Il giuoco serio di Hjalmar Soderberg. E' come sempre affascinante leggere le sue storie ambientate a Stoccolma primi anni 900. Soderberg la descrive bene quella sua citta' che ha sempre amato. Comunque non riesco a sopprimere l'irritazione nei confronti dei suoi personaggi borghesi e inamidati, specialmente il protagonista, lo scrittore di cronache musicali di uno dei giornali quotidiani, Arvid. Fjodor Dostoyevsky è come sempre profondo anche quando si prende gioco dei suoi personaggi ne Il giocatore. E' lettura un poco noiosa quest'ultima, dato che so niente di gioco d'azzardo. Posso solo scrivere in inglese ed in italiano dato che uso il computer di mia sorella e non ho la più pallida idea di come battere alcune delle vocali svedesi.
